Pediatric Ophthalmotherapy in the hinterland of Alagoas
The Pediatric Ophthalmology project has as its main objective the implementation of a phygital and itinerant Health Center within schools with a focus on eye and comprehensive health of the child population, both in preschool (child education schools - day care centers) and in the school phase of first years of elementary school.

- Perform eye screening and identify refraction-related visual problems in children/students enrolled in public early childhood and elementary schools;
- Offer and make available the most modern equipment and technologies currently available in the field of Ophthalmology;
- Provide favorable eye health conditions for learning, improving the school performance of students in public elementary and public schools to contribute to the reduction of dropout and repetition rates;
- Carry out partnerships to supply glasses in cases of refractive error to the target population screened under the Project;
- Optimize the performance of specialized ophthalmology services, expanding access to consultations;
- Integrate health services with a focus on pediatric ophthalmology;
- Integrate eye health into the school health program with a focus on care coordination.
